Newsbrief: Infinite Game Publishing has hired monetization firm GamesAnalytics to integrate Predict, its real-time predictive analytics service, into upcoming free-to-play MMORPG MechWarrior Online. The analytics service is meant to help Infinite understand player behaviors and segmentation through data mining and predictive modeling. Using data from Predict, Infinite can target players with in-game messages aimed at offering personalized experiences, building engagement, and increasing retention to drive revenue growth. Developed by Piranha Games and built on CryEngine 3, MechWarrior Online will release for Windows this summer. GamesAnalytics says that by working with Piranha and Infinite during the game's pre-beta stage instead of after the title's launch, the companies are able to ensure that analytics is integrated into MechWarrior Online's overall game strategy.
