Santa Monica-based facial animation software company Image Metrics, which provided its technology to Rockstar to aid the creation of Grand Theft Auto IV, has expanded its marketing team with two new executives, Stephen Peacock and Eric Schumacher, who will take on the roles of vice president of Product Marketing and vice president of Marketing, respectively. Prior to joining Image Metrics, Peacock was head of worldwide sales at middleware developer Emergent Game Technologies. He also held management positions at NXN Software and Softimage. Schumacher has worked with Image Metrics as a consultant since March 2008. Previous to that, he served as principal at technology marketing agency Neology, as well as marketing manager at Hitachi Koku Imaging Solutions and NXN Software. "Adding Stephen’s technical experience and Eric’s marketing expertise to the Image Metrics team will help us build even more momentum as we continue a strong year for growth at Image Metrics," says Image Metrics CEO Mike Starkenburg. "Both Stephen and Eric have already become key members of our executive team, serving as key contributors to an ongoing marketing strategy that meets the evolving needs of our industries."
