BYOND Strategy Tech Tree: 124
Tech Tree is a list of links about games in BYOND Strategy, a guild run by volunteers on a game/development portal and software engine called BYOND.
I've been redesigning my tangible boardgame. Terrain can be modified along with units and the number of units has been reduced. I've been enjoying the new unit abilities I've been coming up with and had to tear myself away to write this week. =)

Now that Mobius Evalon's Chess is providing more than just chess variants, it has a new hub with Board Game Chat as its temporary name. The server should be permanent so I've replaced the old listing. This week, Mobius Evalon finished checkers, worked on imposition and pinning in chess, and added Reversi. Backgammon is planned next.
Oasiscircle uploaded a game that he created roughly two years ago, called Nemesis. It's a turn-based war game for two players which he rewrote to take advantage of more recent BYOND features. I've accepted the game into the guild, but a late night of boardgame development forced me to give a rain check when I was challenged.
Mecha Destroyer JD is still working on an update to his RTS, Ultimate Strife. The basics of the attack system are finished, but the new and revised units which would take advantage of it are not yet done. The release is still scheduled for sometime around the first week of September. An interface update may come later.
Geldonyetich has posted another progress report for Vehicle Wars. It seems a lot of the code was rewritten and multiple fragments of AI have been added. While budgeting time, Geldonyetich also posted a debug screenshot.
Development on Gamemakingdude's Urban Rivals-inspired card game is being put on hold while he does some work for another developer. Someone is going to make a pure card battling game without RPG elements for BYOND at some time, right? Right?
I finally implemented spells in my daemonic war game, Flesh and Drone. Granted, I still need to test most of them some more, but the code is written and, hopefully, the overlays for effects are easy enough to understand. I also decided to simplify the control scheme I was using for casting. From now on, players can press Shift + Left Click for the spell in the first slot and Shift + Right Click for the spell in the second.
