LONDON, UK – March 8, 2022 – Hold on to your mining picks! Pugstorm and Fireshine Games (formerly Sold Out Games) are proud to announce that mining sandbox adventure Core Keeper is available to download now on Steam Early Access.

Following a successful showing at Steam Next Fest last month, which saw over 130,000 players downloading and playing the Core Keeper demo, the Early Access release introduces major new features, including fishing, railroads, automation, electricity, new enemies, items, weapons, a new nature biome, three new bosses and more.

Players who downloaded and played the Steam Next Fest demo can also continue their adventure seamlessly when they purchase the Early Access version, carrying over their world, character, items and progress directly into today’s release, while new players can experience it all for the very first time.

An additional 10% discount will also be available to players who pick up the Early Access release during the first week of launch.

Core Keeper is a 1-8 player mining sandbox adventure set in an ancient cavern of creatures, treasures and trinkets. Mine relics and resources to build your base, craft new equipment and survive. Defeat giant monsters, discover hidden secrets, farm crops, go fishing, cook new recipes and explore a procedurally generated underground world to unravel the mystery of the ancient core.

Features:

1-8 player sandbox - Work together to fight, farm, fish, craft and survive in a 1-8 player sandbox adventure. Choose your explorer’s background and level up your skills to unlock new bonuses.

Mine resources - Explore a vast underground cave of endless resources. Mine materials, discover hidden crystals, fossils & trinkets and survive a procedurally generated underground world.

Craft & build - Build your base, customise your explorer and craft new items, armour and equipment to venture further into the cave. Experiment with automation to set up mining drills, build your own railroads for faster transportation, and create electrical circuits to light up the dark.

Grow crops - Plant seeds and nurture crops to grow food, or combine ingredients in the cooking pot to discover new recipes with powerful buffs.

Discover an ancient world - Explore living biomes, defeat giant monsters and power up the core to uncover the secrets of an ancient world.

Additional updates introducing major new features, content and quality of life improvements are planned to be added throughout the Early Access period.

“After one and half years of hard work we are excited to release Core Keeper into Steam Early Access today. The community reaction to the Steam Next Fest demo was incredible, and we are thrilled for this major next chapter,” said Sven Thole, CEO & Animator at Pugstorm. “We are happy to welcome new and returning players into the world of Core Keeper, and will be listening closely to the community’s feedback throughout Early Access as we continue to add exciting new content and features.”

Core Keeper has already seen an amazing response from players around the world with last month’s demo, and we are thrilled to launch the game into Early Access today,” added Vincent Coates, Product Manager at Fireshine Games. “Enough can't be said about the effort Pugstorm is putting in to make sure this is the game the community wants, and we are truly excited for players to head into the underground with today’s release.”
