Award-winning mobile adventure game Bear's Restaurant gets free expansion!

TOKYO, JAPAN: October 17th, 2022 - Japanese indie developer Odencat inc. announced today that after 1.5 million downloads worldwide, their award-winning breakout mobile hit Bear's Restaurant will be receiving some all-new content on its original platforms. This free update will allow iOS and Android players to enjoy an all-new epilogue chapter previously exclusive to the definitive edition published on Steam and Nintendo Switch last year. Additionally, the studio announced that both Bear's Restaurant and its spinoff sequel, Fishing Paradiso, will be on sale on Steam and the Nintendo eShop from today through October 25th to celebrate.

What's Bear's Restaurant?

 Set in a mysterious restaurant in the afterlife that serves the newly deceased their last supper, Bear's Restaurant is a heartwarming narrative adventure game with a quirky cast and charming pixelated aesthetic. Players control a waiter known only as Cat, employed by the titular Bear, and must converse with and dive into the memories of the restaurant's clientele to find hints as to what final dish might help their souls rest in peace.

 A true indie success story, having received high honors at both the 2019 Google Indie Game Festival and Google's Best of 2019 awards, Bear's Restaurant has touched the hearts of more than a million players worldwide. In 2021, the Switch version ranked in the Nintendo eShop's Top 20 Best Sellers chart, and the game is still being streamed to audiences of thousands by famous YouTubers and VTubers to this day.



Summary of New Epilogue Content

When Bear is forced to leave on a business trip to establish a new branch in Hell, it's up to Cat to hold down the fort and keep his flagship restaurant afloat. Thankfully, she won't have to do it alone, as Bear's hired a new part-timer to help out... If only she weren't so clumsy!

This bonus epilogue features not only a slew of new characters, music, and recipes to cook, but the resolution to one of the original game's biggest unanswered questions as well. Dive into the memories of even more customers, including the lovable ladies’ man Sergey from Fishing Paradiso!
