The Windows Graphics and Gaming Technology Team has announced the latest version of the DirectX SDK, available for immediate download. The new SDK can be found at the official WGGTT site. The update includes several additions and new features, including the inclusion of three new technical articles covering graphics, coding, and video game design accessibility. The first document is titled “Graphics APIs in Windows Vista”, which describes the new display driver model. The second document, “Coding For Multiple Cores on Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows” includes tips and advice on how to get started with multithreaded programming. Finally, “Making Video Games Accessible: Business Justifications and Design Considerations” describes how to add basic accessibility features within a video game's design. Other changes included with this release include updates to tools, utilities, samples, and runtime debug files for x64 and x86 platforms. This release also include a public pre-release Direct3D 10.
