GDC Russia Adds Advisory Board

The organizers of Game Developers Conference Russia, (co-developed by Gamasutra.com owner CMP in association with Russian media company (game)land) have announced the advisory board for the event, which will take place from October 18th - 20th, 2006 at the Hotel "Moscow" in St. Petersburg, Russia. The newly revealed international members of the GDC Russia Advisory Board include George Bain (SCEE), Serge Hascoet (Ubisoft), and Alex Marquez (Intel Capital), helping to bring in relevant international content for the event. In addition, the GDC Russia Advisory Board includes notable figures such as Dmitriy Arkhipov (Akella), Dmitriy Burkovskiy (Noviy Disk), Mihail "ZAVHOZ" Fedorov (Creat Studios), Andrey "Krank" Kuzmin (KranX Productions), Sergey Orlovskiy (Nival Interactive), Alexander Mikhailov (Buka), and Yuriy Miroshnikov (1С). According to the Russian-based organizers, who also publish a Russian-language version of Game Developer magazine: "These experienced game industry professionals are dedicated to securing the most relevant content for the Russian and Eastern European game creation markets", helping to determine the main themes for the conference alongside speakers and topics. The three-day GDC Russia conference will feature in-depth lectures from both Russian and international speakers. The first day will consist of full-day tutorials, while the next two will consist of regular conference sessions featuring three core tracks: Business, Production and Marketing. Further information on speakers and keynotes for the event will be available in the near future at the official GDC Russia website.
