Mark of Kri developer BottleRocket has announced that it will be using Emergent's Gamebryo suite for its forthcoming Namco Bandai published PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 action title
Splatterhouse.
The company said the engine gave it the ability to "quickly develop prototypes and get to first-playables simultaneously across multiple platforms," especially given its Floodgate stream processing engine which made it possible to simultaneously develop for both multi-core systems.
Gamebryo is a part of Emergent's modular Elements toolset, and has previously been optimized for development on Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It was used on Bethesda Softworks'
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and on its upcoming
Fallout 3, both for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, in addition to EA-Mythic's upcoming
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
