Take-Two's sports publishing label, 2K Sports has announced the spring 2008 release of Don King Presents: Prizefighter, a "documentary-style" boxing simulation for Xbox 360, Wii and DS. Developed by Venom Games (Rocky, Rocky Legends), Don King Presents: Prizefighter will aim to capture the realism of live-action match-ups, tasking players with building a career by balancing commitments to train and promote themselves while "avoiding temptation". The game's ultimate goal is to attain and defend the title belt, and will feature sports documentary-style narrative. The title has the support of the well-known boxing promoter Don King, who says the game will provide "a glimpse at what life is like in and out of the ring for these incredible athletes." Said 2K president Christoph Hartman, "The combination of real-life fight scenarios, story-driven gameplay and photo-realistic graphics will set this title apart from the competition. Our goal has always been to deliver the most engaging and realistic titles, and Don King Presents: Prizefighter will exceed these expectations.”
