The consumer-focused 1UP Network has announced the nominations for its 5th annual 1UP Awards, which will recognize the year's most popular games as chosen by public vote. The nominations were made by 1UP editors across 13 categories, including a new category, "Best Console Downloadable Game." This year's list sees multiple nominations for several leading game publishers, including 26 for Sony Computer Entertainment America, 24 for Electronic Arts, 17 for Nintendo, and 12 for Microsoft.
