Virtools released the Virtools Multiuser Pack, an add-on to Virtools Dev 2.1 which lets developers using Virtools Dev create multiplayer games simultaneously for several platforms (Mac, PC, Xbox). The Virtools Multiuser Pack provides two different types of servers, the Virtools Behavioral Server or Peer Server. Features include:
UDP support and guaranteed TCP connections
Session and user management tools
Distributed objects for efficient bandwidth use
Dead reckoning algorithm support The company is offering a special intoductory price of 10,000 € (it will normally be priced at 12,000 €) for orders placed before September 27.
