Ubisoft Wins Canadian Battle With EA

Ubisoft officials are claiming victory after a judgement in the Québec Court of Appeal found in favor of the company, which had been attempting to prevent several key employees from defecting to Electronic Arts’ nearby studio. Lawyers from Ubisoft argued that the non-compete clause in their employment contracts prevented workers from working for a competitor for the specified period of months.
