According to Reuters, the company and seven of its sales distributors were accused in 2000 of impeding the flow of its products across European country borders, which had the effect of raising the wholesale prices of those products. The EU is expected to address the matter next week, but the amount of the fine is yet unknown. Nintendo says that it has set aside funds to pay such a fine. Nintendo's stock price has taken a hit this month, falling almost 20% since it lowered its forecast for Gamecube shipments in the coming year.
