The organizers of the 2008 Tokyo Game Show have confirmed that new Sony Computer Entertainment president Kaz Hirai will keynote the TGS Forum event, to be held at the Makuhari Messe on September 20th-21st. The Forum is an industry-specific lecture part of the event, which is also open to the public on on September 22nd-23rd. The English-language TGS website reveals that Hirai will be speaking on September 22nd at 10.30am. The Japanese-language version of the page, as translated by consumer site IGN.com, notes that Hirai's speech will be called "The Expanding PlayStation World, Business Strategy For New Growth." In addition, other confirmed lectures on the English-language version of the page include Nielsen VP Jeff Herrmann discussing 'New Insights on the Elusive Gamer: Global Brand Advertisers Make a Play for Gamers' Attention', as well as sponsored sessions from Activision, Nokia N-Gage and Gameloft. The multiple Western firms presenting further show TGS organizers CESA's previously stated wish focus its attention on international business, likely (though not explicitly stated) due to the scaled-down nature of the E3 Expo in Los Angeles this year.
