This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending July 14, highlights the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. The all-platform chart and Xbox 360 chart remained the same from last week, as Take-Two and Human Head's recently shipped Xbox 360 first-person shooter Prey continued to battle aliens from the top of both charts. Sega and From Software's Chromehounds took charge of the second spot of both charts, followed by Electronic Arts' recently released Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II. (Although two of these games have PC SKUs, GameFly does not rent PC titles.) On the original Xbox, Electronic Arts' NCAA Football 07 was once again the most requested title for the platform, followed by Eidos' latest adventure in the shoes of Agent 47, Hitman: Blood Money. The top three Xbox requests for the week were rounded out by EA and Criterion's frenetic first-person shooter, Black. NCAA Football 07 was also the most requested PlayStation 2 title for the week, knocking down last week's number one title, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow, into the number two spot. Namco Bandai's anime fighting game Naruto: Ultimate Ninja was the third most requested PlayStation 2 title for the week. THQ dominated the top two spots on the GameCube chart for the week, with Monster House and Cars ranking as the number one and two most requested titles for the week respectively. Sega's Super Monkey Ball Adventure rounded out the top tree GameCube requests for the week. Game Boy Advance requests for the week were once again topped by Nintendo's Pokemon Emerald, followed by the Nintendo-published Square Enix RPG, Final Fantasy IV. THQ's Monster House ranked third on the chart. Turning to the Nintendo DS, Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. was once again the most requested title for the popular handheld, followed by casual game Big Brain Academy. Metroid Prime: Hunters surged upwards on the cart for the week to take the third spot, while Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! plummeted from last week's number three spot to eighth. Square Enix's RPG Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, which ships this week, was the most requested PSP title for the week, followed by Namco Bandai's Tekken: Dark Resurrection. Buena Vista's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest rounded out the top three requests for Sony's portable for the week.
