Game developer and content provider Exis Interactive has announced that the company has entered into a development partnership with defense contractor General Dynamics for a serious games venture, including unspecified “high quality simulations.” Exis is an active contributor to the independent development and serious games space, and notes on its website that it is currently in the process of releasing a line of products aimed at those markets. According to Exis, the company is also currently involved with several as yet unannounced projects for various government agencies, though the nature of these projects remain unknown. In addition, Exis is also currently developing a more mainstream first person shooter and resource management-focused title for the PC called Poacher, which will have players hunting dangerous animals in the wild while avoiding game wardens. “Exis has reached a stage where we can confidently provide our clients with the services that matter in this industry,” commented Exis founder, Peter Kojesta. “Our dealings with General Dynamics prove that we can play with the big boys, and we’re eager for the challenges ahead.” He added: “Having worked with the DOD, and Northrop Grumman in the past, we know we’re on sure footing. On the commercial side of things, we’ve been providing content to several studios for current and next gen products.”
