The Art Institute of Phoenix, located in Phoenix, Arizona, has announced James Haldy as the new Academic Director for Game Art & Design and Visual & Game Programming degree programs. The programs fuse technical aspects and principles of computer programming with art for education in design such as character animation and environment architecture as well as 3D games and interactive motion graphics. The new Director Haldy has over 19 years experience in the game industry and has been involved in the development of over 45 published titles across a wide variety of platforms and game systems. Throughout his career, Haldy has held positions in the industry as Executive Producer, Director of Operations, Producer, Computer Artist, and Art Director, just to name a few. Haldy earned his Master’s degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary and his Bachelor’s degree from Whitworth College.
