3 Minute Game Design series

For the last month or two, I've been working up to doing something special with my online game design writing. I upgraded my site, cleaned up (or in some cases, deleted) past articles to keep them up to speed, and arranged them in a nice little grid page where you can quickly access them all.

I also have launched a new video series called "3 Minute Game Design". This is a super-dense, but hopefully super-clear runthrough of the tools that I use to design games. So far, the reception has been really positive. Here's Episode 1, wherein I simply lay the foundation for how we're even going to address the problems of game design:

In Episode 2, I actually start getting into detail, first by dividing up all of "interactive systems" (what we usually refer to with the word "games" into four categories that make it possible for us to prescribe guidelines.

In future episodes, I will delve into the guidelines themselves, particularly for the fourth form, which I call "games".

Let me know what you think of this series! If you really like it and you'd like to support it and/or my article-writing, please contribute to my Patreon campaign. Thanks for reading!
