Square Enix too lazy to pay for games anymore?

Why is Square Enix too lazy to pay for games anymore?

Square Enix has been setting a very interesting standard as of late. Like a little child they cry over the sales of their Tomb Raider reboot game, spend less money maybe? Yet now it seems it is not enough that we buy the full priced game, no no, we have to pay for it to be funded also.

Like a hobo begging for your money Square Enix has cleverly gotten into the Kickstarter business! Because why pay for a game to be made when you don't have to. Moon Hunters is a new game on Kickstarter with the backing of Square Enix and their new game  review system that will make this a common nightmare for small indie developers like myself.

If Square Enix likes a game, then fund it, I shouldn't have to. When I fund games on kickstarter do you think I want to fund a game that is already being backed by Square Enix? As a small indie developer I make the moral choice to fund other small indie developers trying to get their games funded on Kickstarter.

I grew up playing games like Final Fantasy 6 and always thought Square Enix was one of the best companies. When I think of how far Square Enix has fallen now it just makes me sick.
