This year, Activision once again plans to release an annual sequel to its popular Call of Duty franchise. In addition to the traditional console platforms, Sony claims that Activision's major shooter franchise will also debut for PlayStation Vita this fall. Speaking to GameTrailers' Geoff Keighley in a recent video interview, Sony's new SVP of PlayStation brand marketing, Guy Longworth said, "In the Autumn, [my kids] are really looking forward to Call of Duty on Vita, and that's going to be an absolute game changer for the platform." Longworth did not specify whether this Call of Duty title would be specially-designed for the PlayStation Vita, or whether it will borrow content from its console-based counterparts. Gamasutra has contacted Activision for comment, but has not heard back as of press time.
