Majesco is reviving the BloodRayne sexy vampire series with BloodRayne: Betrayal, a downloadable title from WayForward, developers of the well-received Contra 4. Majesco, which published Terminal Reality-developed BloodRayne and BloodRayne 2 in the early 2000s, said Betrayal will arrive on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this summer as a "full-scale" digital game. The new entry in the series, first introduced in 2002, will be a 2D side-scrolling game that features plenty of blood and puzzles, as well new characters. Majesco said the title will be targeted at "mature audiences." At E3 last year, Majesco also quietly revealed that it is publishing BloodRayne: The Shroud for Nintendo's 3DS handheld. The BloodRayne video game series also spawned movies from infamous director Uwe Boll, including BloodRayne, BloodRayne 2: Deliverance and BloodRayne 3: The Third Reich.
