Newsbrief: While the majority of game developers in the UK are currently building games for mobile platforms, a new survey suggests that a boost to next-gen console development may be on the cards. UK trade body TIGA surveyed 100 UK game developers and found that, at this moment in time, 73 percent of those surveyed are creating games for iOS platforms. This compared to 63 percent making games for PC, and 62 percent for Android. But while only 17 of those surveyed are currently making games for Xbox One, and 15 making PS4 games, that is apparently due to change in the coming months. 52 percent said they plan to make an Xbox One game next, while 48 percent said PlayStation 4 will be a goal for their next project. Notably, fewer developers surveyed said they plan to make mobile and PC games next -- down 8 percent for iOS, and down 15 percent for PC. Of course, it's worth remembering that this survey only represents a fraction of the full UK game industry.
