Publisher Majesco has announced it will be bringing its own balance-board enhanced fitness title to the Wii with Fitness Ultimatum 2009, featuring strength trainer and life coach Jillian Michaels for a holiday 2008 release. Majesco says the game will integrate a tiered fitness regimen with "expert advice and exercise techniques from the charismatic Jillian Michaels" (as seen on TV series "The Biggest Loser"), with four types of workouts including Weight Loss, Strength Training, Intervals and Hill Climb. The game promises "exciting Wii Remote and Wii Balance Board motion-based challenges that range from crossing monkeybars to climbing ladders and rowing," and a party mode where multiple players race for best times. 3G Studios, the Reno, NV-based studio who most recently assisted Harmonix on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Rock Band, is developing the title for Majesco. Said Majesco CEO Jesse Sutton, "Wii and the Wii Balance Board have added a credible and effective new option for players looking to get in shape in a fun and entertaining way. Jillian Michaels' expertise in the fitness world coupled with the innovative Wii Balance Board lets us deliver a compelling game that will change the way America approaches home fitness."
