Former execs from Intellivision Lives! developer Realtime Associates and TDK have announced the formation of Music Video Games, a new casual portal that will focus on "proprietary music beat matching games." The startup company was founded by former Realtime Associates president David Warhol and Vincent Bitetti, former CEO of TDK Mediaactive before it was sold to Take-Two in 2004. Bitetti will act as its CEO, while Warhol will serve as its CCO. The company also lists former Warner Bros. Records business and legal affairs SVP Mark Goldstein and former THQ Wireless president Tim Walsh as its strategic advisors. No specifics on any of the company's forthcoming projects have yet been released other than its charter to "develop, publish and exploit technology and proprietary music beat matching game designs," which it says will be developed by Realtime Associates, and will feature "major music artists of the past, present and future." Said Bitetti, “MvG has been created with the goal of bringing fun and easily accessible music games to an audience that has largely remained unnoticed to this point. The music video game market and the online casual games market both continue to grow exponentially. MvG will provide games that will appeal to both demographics.”
