Newsbrief: Sony's PlayStation 4 console has now sold 1 million units in the UK, achieving this sales figure in around 40 weeks.
According to Chart-Track data, and
as reported by Eurogamer, the Nintendo Wii reached 1 million sold in a slightly quicker period of 38 weeks, while the PS3 took 46 weeks, the PS2 took 50 weeks, and the Xbox 360 took 60 weeks.
And with the launch of
Destiny from Bungie today -- a title that is not a PlayStation exclusive, but is receiving an exclusive marketing push on PlayStation platforms -- Sony is hoping that the heavy-hitter will help boost sales even more in the coming weeks.
