Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list. This week brings Skylanders Giants, Forza Horizon, Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, and Medal of Honor: Warfighter to retailers in North America. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending October 27th, 2012. Games Released in the United States: Toys for Bob's action-adventure game Skylanders Giants premieres in North America this week, arriving at retail alongside a spate of new collectible figures that can be used in-game via an RFID-reading peripheral. Following up on last year's Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, Skylanders Giants includes a new head-to-head Battle Mode and new challenges designed for the sequel's larger "Giants" figurines. Also hitting store shelves are Turn 10's racing sim sequel Forza Horizon, ChunSoft's Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors sequel Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, and Danger Close's multiplatform first-person shooter Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Digital downloads premiering this week include an Xbox Live Arcade version of Arc System Works' 2D one-on-one fighter Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, Giant Sparrow's PlayStation 3-exclusive first-person puzzler The Unfinished Swan, and a 3DS version of Nifflas' ambient side-scroller NightSky.
