Gamasutra's regular round-up of worldwide video game releases, "Release This!", takes a look at every game title we know to be shipping to stores this week, in a custom compiled list. This week brings Far Cry 3 and Brain Age: Concentration Training to North America, while Japan gets Ryu ga Gotoku 5 and Monster Hunter 3 G HD Ver. The following list covers all of the game software we know to be available -- across all platforms and regions -- for the week ending December 8th, 2012. Games Released in the United States: Ubisoft Montreal's open-world first-person shooter Far Cry 3 debuts in North America for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms this week, arriving to widespread critical acclaim. Far Cry 3 boasts an experience-driven upgrade system, crafting elements, and a sandbox editing mode, in addition to a co-op campaign for up to four players. BioWare's original Mass Effect will make its PlayStation 3 debut this week, both as a digital download and as part of the series-spanning retail package Mass Effect Trilogy. PS3 owners can also expect to see a compilation for Insomniac's Resistance trilogy, while the 3DS gets a new entry in Nintendo's Brain Age series.
