NCsoft on Wednesday revealed its latest MMORPG, WildStar, developed by Southern California-based Carbine Studios. The MMORPG will be the debut title for Aliso Viejo, California's Carbine, formed in 2007. NCsoft said that WildStar, just announced today, already has a three-act playable build for gamers at the Cologne, Germany-based consumer-focused games convention Gamescom this week. WildStar players will be able to take on the role of Explorers, Soldiers, Scientists or Settlers, laying claim "to a mysterious planet on the edge of known space," according to NCsoft. "Depending on a combination of faction, race, class and path, WildStar will present gamers with unending surprises, mini-quests and challenges," the company added. Carbine's upcoming MMO isn't the only major new title in development NCsoft's West's studios. ArenaNet is also at work on the anticipated Guild Wars 2. Neither MMO has a firm release date as of yet.
