"I know what everyone's thinking: what part of your soul are we interested in the most?"

Square Enix community lead Phil Elliott jokes about their newly-announced Collective publishing program, which he described as "not a normal publishing project."

"The basic concept is for the player to have empathy for the characters...That's how easy we want it to be. We don't want to tire the player out."

Hidetaka "SWERY" Suehiro discussed the design philosophy behind D4's new Kinect controls.

"There is a simple trick to finding examples of awesome women: you type anything into Google and then add 'women' after it."

Jill Murray offered concrete suggestions for diversifying women character archetypes in video games.

"Before we had single-player video games we didn't know that they were a thing that could exist... This is a fundamentally different thing that has largely created our industry."
