Analytics firm App Annie has finally added support for the Windows Store to its suite of digital game market research tools, nearly three years after Microsoft launched the storefront. This is the first time that App Annie has started tracking a digital storefront that sells PC games; before this week, the company only tracked the Mac App Store and an assortment of mobile app stores. The analytics platform already supports the Windows Phone Store, so it's now possible for App Annie patrons to keep tabs on sales data across Microsoft's PC and mobile storefronts. According to a post on the company blog, developers will now be able to reference Windows Store sales data (top paid apps, top free apps, top grossing apps and so on) as far back as March 2013. Back in January App Annie began adding Windows Phone Store support to its analytics platform, and after this latest update developers can pull historical sales data on that storefront from as early as March 2012.
