Intro

This is a new profile but I'm not new to gamasutra at all. I am frequently on the site learning, getting opinions and getting a view of the professional and independent game industry. My focus is primarily a programmer. I’m pretty good at actionscript, C++, C, JAVA, and I’m learning Python. The gaming programs I use now are Flash, Unity, and a little UDK. I feel like compared to all of the other programmers that are currently in the industry, I am at the far back of the line. So now I have to treat it like I don’t know anything about programming. In my head I am a few steps behind the “Hello World” stage. With me being a beginner I would appreciate any feedback or advice anyone has to offer. Even the worst feedback has something I can take from it.

Brainstorming

Since I’m all about learning I need to start a project now. From previous unfinished projects I know that if I try to do everything that comes with designing a game, then the chances of it getting rushed or unfinished are high. What I plan to do is focus primarily on programming a game with all simple art and then substitute the art or models with more advanced figures when I am finished. It’s going to take some time to develop a project, but when I have it I will blog about my progress. One again any feedback will be appreciated.
