PathEngine has announced the latest release of its pathfinding and agent movement SDK, adding significant performance improvements and speedups, and new licensees, including
Sherlock Holmes series developers Frogwares and Korea-based developer NeoAct.
PathEngine says the new version adds a number of optimizations, including improvements in 3D content processing and tokenised loading, as well as core queries.
The developer also says mesh loading and run-time partitioning generation processes have also been significantly optimized, on top of general improvements in tokenised loading, with additional optimizations in core point collision and 'find closest unobstructed position' queries.
Finally, the company has announced new licensing options, including binary-only licensing for the Xbox 360, and an 'all platforms' version of the full source license.
