Graphic Remedy announced a V4.5 update for its OpenGL and OpenGL ES debugger and profiler gDEBugger, which now includes the ability to view texture mipmap levels.
With the new version, users can display each texture mipmap's parameters and data as an image or raw data in the gDEBugger Texture and Buffers viewer. The Texture Mipmap Level slider enables them to browse the different mipmap levels, too.
gDEBugger V4.5 also introduces support for 1D and 2D texture arrays. The new Textures and Buffers viewer Texture Layer slider allows users to view the contents of different texture layers. The update also introduces notable performance and stability improvements.
gDEBugger traces application activity on top of the OpenGL API and is designed to enable programmers to see what is happening within the graphic system implementation to find bugs and optimize OpenGL application performance. The software runs on Windows and Linux operating systems, and is currently in Beta phase on Mac OS X.
