Emergent Game Technologies has announced that Portugal based developer Biodroid Productions will use its Gamebryo engine to develop a Wii title based on the South American
Chiquititas IP.
Emergent says Gamebryo will give Biodroid developers access to Wii development features such as animation tools, a Wii-specific viewer, libraries and APIs aimed at simplifying pipeline integration.
Known in English as Tiny Angels,
Chiquititas is an Argentinian television show that has since spawned branded clothing, a magazine, music albums and a stage musical based on it, with a feature film to release later this year.
The company says
Chiquititas for Wii will be a third-person platformer with action and puzzle elements, based around the show's lead character who runs a home for orphans. It will implement plot elements, musical style and video from the original series.
