Virtools, a Dassault Systèmes company (NASDAQ: DASTY; Euronext Paris: #13065, DSY.PA), market leader in the world of interactive 3D game prototyping and production solutions, and provider of '3D for All' flagship solutions Virtools Dev 3.5 platform, announced today a preview of its upcoming framework for "PSPTM" development at GDC 2006, Virtools booth #1138.
Virtools announced today the preview of its upcoming framework for "PSPTM" development at GDC, held March 20-24, 2006.
The new solution for "PSPTM" development will enhance the interactive 3D leader's acclaimed suite of development tools. With several thousands of users throughout the world, Virtools provides the tools game developers need to help take the guesswork out of prototyping and streamline full game production.
Virtools Dev is the prototyping software leader with an unparalleled and intuitive graphical scripting system and a library of over 450 ready-to-use behavior building blocks that can be directly attributed to objects, characters, camera, game logic and any other prototype components.
For full game production, the Virtools Dev framework brings together a GUI with graphical and text scripting and debug tools, APIs such as the Dev behavior and render engines, as well as asset integration plug-ins. The framework offers flexibility, performance and the promise of solid, industry-proven development architecture.
Dassault Systèmes '3D for All' strategy aims at making 3D technology widely available to users. This means that anybody from content creators right up to the product end user will have a set of solutions which allow them to imagine, share and experience in 3D. Within this broad initiative, Virtools "PSPTM" development framework is the first step to provide rich experience on the new generation of portable consoles and devices.
"Virtools is very excited to be attending this year's Game Developers Conference. GDC 2006 will be the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our latest development and give attendees a sneak preview of things to come for Virtools and the PSPTM," commented Bertrand Duplat, Virtools CTO.
