For Immediate Release:

March 14th. Playman, the mobile sports superstar is back in Playman World SoccerTM, a brand new mobile game from RealNetworks.

Playman World Soccer, the seventh game in the hugely popular PlaymanSportsTM series, puts Playman on the football pitch for the very first time. Players must pass, shoot and tackle their way through the variety of team matches and game modes before winning the ultimate prize, the World Champion Trophy.

Playman World Soccer is one of the most graphically advanced mobile football games ever made and maintains Playman's pick-up-and-play heritage. The game features 36 different international teams, a variety of fun and challenging game modes and an optimized style of play that takes mobile sports games to a whole new level.

Yet again, the developer Mr.Goodliving has created a simple, elegant control system that uses the minimum number of keys - far less keys than other mobile football games available today - that allows players of all abilities to pick up and enjoy the game in minutes. Furthermore, the advanced Artificial Intelligence provides challenging and determined opposition every time you play. The fun never ends!

Playman World Soccer offers a wide range of different game modes. The Quick Match option is perfect for players with only a few minutes to spare and the Warm Up mode is perfect for beginners who wish to practice and hone their football skills. The Career Mode allows players to compete against every team in a variety of challenges, with the winner finally lifting the world champion trophy. In addition, the Arcade Mode offers match situations such as Sudden Death and Penalty Shootouts, where players can put their skills to the ultimate test.

The PlaymanSports series has been widely praised for its unmatched playability and awesome cartoon graphics, and Playman World Soccer is no exception. Independent game industry experts have already recognized its appeal, stating that it is "the first mobile football game to be truly easy to control." Special effects, including dynamic shadowing and different weather and pitch conditions, add even more depth to the game. For selected handsets, Playman World Soccer also takes mobile graphics to a new dimension with a full 3-D version of the game.

"Soccer is as popular on consoles as it is in real life" says Sami Lahtinen, Mr.Goodliving's head of studio. "To bring a sport as complex and fast-paced as football to mobile, while keeping it fun and playable, is a huge challenge. Playman World Soccer benefits from all of the best, most important parts of the beautiful game," Lahtinen continues. "The key to success for any mobile sports game, especially football, is to ensure maximum playability with minimum complexity. Playman World Soccer solves that conundrum better than any other mobile football game. It's a great addition to the PlaymanSports series and we're really looking forward to see football fans tackling it worldwide."

Beginning this month, the game will be available on major operators throughout Europe, and will roll out to other countries in mid 2006. Try before you buy functionality will be implemented in the game for selected distributors.
