Vancouver and Los Angeles – November 10, 2021 – Journey off the beaten path to uproot the government with the killer soundtrack for the hit indie video game Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. Today, Graffiti Games, iamb8bit and Snoozy Kazoo announce (on International Accounting Day, no less!) that the companies are partnering to deliver Ryan Borbone (K1N) and James Currier's eclectic soundtrack as both a vinyl and digital release.

The Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion soundtrack is available for preorder today on iam8bit's store for $32.99 USD and will be shipped in 2022. The album includes 22 memorable tracks that transport listeners to the game's grassy plains, greenhouse, and spooky graveyard. The album features all-new art from illustrator Nicole Gustafsson, which shows the titular character in a tax-dodging sprint. To further honor the mischief-maker, the album is pressed on turnip-colored vinyl.

This release marks iam8bit’s first time entering the world of digital music publishing, as well as the company’s first foray publishing a digital soundtrack. The Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion digital soundtrack can be streamed via Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and Deezer.

“iam8bit is well known for our physical media releases such as vinyl, but lately, we’ve seen a disconcerting lack of support for video game musicians in the digital space,” said Amanda White and Jon M. Gibson, co-owners/co-creative directors of iam8bit. “We’ve wanted to correct this and so for a while now, we’ve been secretly constructing a multi-dimensional approach to music publishing - digital, vinyl, CDs, and more to help ensure that video game musicians get their due. We’re honored to partner with Graffiti Games and Snoozy Kazoo to begin this new endeavor, particularly with such an amazing title.”

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion casts players in the role of a turnip seeking a way to pay back his debts to a corrupt onion mayor. Featuring a blend of puzzle solving, dungeon exploring, and plant harvesting, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion is a cute, but epic journey to avoid paying taxes and tear down the establishment.

About iam8bit
Founded in 2005, iam8bit is a creative production emporium that has quietly redefined the entertainment industry, time and time again. Collaborating with a plethora of partners and narrative-busting IPs, iam8bit punctuates the importance of engaging with fans directly. By creating the videogame industry's very first community events, the company injected the idea of experiential immersion into game and film marketing (back when it was simply known as "theatre"). iam8bit also played a crucial role in the vinyl renaissance, minting its first record in 2010, and is the industry leader in premium physical editions of top-tier games. The company is based in Los Angeles and co-owned by Jon M. Gibson and Amanda White. Visit iam8bit.com and follow iam8bit on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
