Malmö, Sweden, March 31st, 2022 – The first ever hybrid Nordic Game conference is ramping up for a great show in Malmö, Sweden, from May 17th to May 20th. First speaker announcements focus on a new conversation format, where profiles such as Soren Johnson (Civilization IV), David Helgason (Unity), and Amir Rao (Supergiant Games) will exchange experiences and visions with industry peers from around the world.

NG22 Spring from May 17th to May 20th, both online and in Malmö, Sweden will be a welcome return to the lovely venue in historic Slagthuset, with expanded expo halls, new meeting areas and outdoor amenities, and much, much more. Here’s just a taste of what to expect, and a very special message – passes at a 2-for-1 price discount for NG22 Spring are available now!

Talk the talk!
The speaker program is expanding fast now, with NG Conversations between David Helgason (Unity), and Mike Gamble (Ex-Epic and now TalentHouse), as well as Soren Johnson (Mohawk Games) and Paradox game director Maxence Voleau (Crusader Kings III) already announced, and many more are in the pipeline. As examples of what to expect, VR profiles Jesse Schell (Schell Games), and Tommy Palm (Resolution Games) will also be ready at NG22 Spring with a conversation, as well as Amir Rao (Supergiant), and a yet-to-be-revealed Nordic star developer engaging in a talk about roguelikes, with the brilliant “Hades” as an obvious point of departure.

It’s all about connecting
NG22 Spring is all about (re)connecting, and besides the vast speaker program, a string of events and services encourages participants to interact with each other. As always, the MeetToMatch system will guarantee a plethora of business meetings and opportunities, both online and at the venue. And if you want to see new games and services, and not least meet the companies and studios behind them, the expo areas will be packed with just that. New for NG22 Spring compared to previous editions is that the Developer Showcase Hall will be open all three conference days (May 18th to May 20th), so prepare for some game heavy days.

And we need to celebrate!
It’s been two long years since the last Nordic Game took place as a physical event (we did four online shows in between). And so, there’s plenty of reasons to celebrate the fact that we can finally be together again. To set the tone, May 19th will lead the way: Nordic Game Awards 22 will take place in the huge theatre of the venue, and here we’ll applaud the best Nordic (and some European) games of the year. And later in the evening, the renowned Nordic Party is back, complete with drinks, dancing, Marioke, and some nice surprises on top.

Register now!
Much more of NG22 Spring will be revealed the coming weeks, but now’s the time to register – if you do, you won’t miss our brilliant comeback discount: Buy a pass and get one for free! Register at https://conf.nordicgame.com/registration/.

Nordic Game and Exiles.Fund support game developer refugees
Indie game developers fleeing Ukraine, Belarus or Russia are warmly welcome to show their products and meet their customers at NG22 Spring with no cost to participate. More information on this, including the necessary steps for applying can be found here.
