Suicide is the second leading cause of death among young adults – Global Gift Foundation USA (GGF USA), along with participating celebrities and notable personalities, e-gamers and content creators, want to help end this!

 
On Tuesday, June 28, GGF USA is hosting a special event to launch its epic fundraiser, Heart of a Champion!


What is the Heart of a Champion? This event is backed by an impressive roster of celebrities who will participate virtually during the two-month-long campaign, including Actor and event Honorary Chair Zachary Levi, Actress Eva Longoria, Actor Amuary Nolasco, Actor Jason Canela and more. These great celebrities, who are phenomenal mental health advocates, will join the philanthropic e-gaming community to raise funds to support GGF USA’s goal of aiding mental health programs nationwide. Together they will lead the conversation to reduce the stigma associated with mental illness and let those affected know that they are not alone.

 
How does it work? The event is a fun take on the standard fundraising charity runs and walkathons. Starting today until August 31, 2022, participants can register online as individuals or create a team and set their fundraising goals. But instead of running or walking, they will live stream themselves playing a video game of their choice! It's that simple! PLAY GAMES – CHANGE A LIFE! Not a gamer? By registering, fundraising and spreading awareness everyone can make a significant impact!

 
THE LAUNCH: During the special in-person two-hour media launch,  hosted at event partner Subnation’s Los Angeles venue from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm PT, invited media and attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about Heart of a Champion’s two-month-long fundraising campaign, listen to Founder Alina Peralta talk about why supporting mental health is vital and learn how they can take part. Guests will also enjoy cocktails featuring Casa del Sol Tequila, delicious bites from restaurant partners and more. The excitement will build as guests will also have the chance to win incredible prizes such as a *Sony *PlayStation 5 game console, Milagros NFT Merchandise, Casa Del Sol prize packs autographed by Eva Longoria and more! A unique feature Actor Jason Canela will live-stream on-site playing a video game to help launch Heart of a Champion's newly launched Twitch channel.

 
Mental illness is treatable, and suicide is preventable. Even so, many suffer in silence. GGF USA is on a mission to raise funds for vital mental health programs and end the stigma of mental illness. The 501 c 3 charitable organization will partner with like-minded charities, including Active Minds, to receive a portion of the proceeds raised. With the support of the celebrities, e-gaming community, partners and sponsors such as Subnation, Affluent Hispanic Philanthropies,  Casa Del Sol Tequila, La Sabrosa Restaurant, Turok Cheesecake and more, GGF USA hope to meet their goal.
