LONDON, UK – April 13, 2022 – Can you unlock the secret of the Golden Egg? Pugstorm and Fireshine Games are thrilled to invite Core Keeper players to a fun-filled week of egg hunting in ‘The Great Egg Hunt’, the first ever seasonal event for the hit mining sandbox adventure.

From today until April 19, ‘The Great Egg Hunt’ tasks players with finding a variety of hidden eggs which, when collected, can be used to craft a Golden Egg, a unique item that players can keep permanently within their base to show off their egg-hunt success.
 

But the Golden Egg holds another surprise... As well as being a decorative item, players are encouraged to experiment with an alternative use for the Golden Egg to discover its secret and unlock extra hidden bonuses.
 

“We hope players have a lot of fun hunting for eggs and discovering the hidden purpose of the Golden Egg during ‘The Great Egg Hunt’,” said Sven Thole, CEO & Animator at Pugstorm. “As we get closer to revealing more details about Core Keeper’s first major content update, we wanted to surprise players with our first ever in-game event. This is just one of many new ideas we’ve had since the start of our journey earlier this year, and hope everyone enjoys the hunt to craft the Golden Egg!”

Core Keeper is a 1-8 player mining sandbox adventure set in an ancient cavern of creatures, treasures and trinkets. Mine relics and resources to build your base, craft new equipment and survive. Defeat giant monsters, discover hidden secrets, farm crops, go fishing, cook new recipes and explore a procedurally generated underground world to unravel the mystery of the ancient core.
 

Since launching on Steam Early Access in March, Core Keeper has become Fireshine Games’ fastest-selling digital title of all time, selling more than 500,000 copies within its first two weeks of release. The game is also officially verified for Steam Deck, allowing Steam Deck users to continue their mining adventure on the go.
