Cologne, Germany, April 28th, 2022 For the first time since 2019, devcom Developer Conference returns to the koelnmesse Congress Centre East in Cologne from August 22nd till 23rd, 2022. Kicking off with the devcom networking dinner on Sunday, August 21st, the first fully-hybrid #ddc2022 conference program will take place over the following two days, followed by a devcom-hosted live studio and exclusive attendee space in the B2B expo area at gamescom from August 24th till 26th.

Stephan Reichart, MD of devcom GmbH:
“We are so excited to meet everyone in person again this year in Cologne – and our enthusiasm is echoed throughout the industry. People want – and need – to see each other again, as we’re seeing reflected in the excellent speaker lineup we’re assembling, which we are very proud of and will be adding to in the weeks to come.

A matter close to our heart is that this year we will offer free access to our event to game developers from Ukraine, regardless of whether they want to be present on site in Cologne or take part online.
By the way: going hybrid means we can stay true to our commitment to connect and share knowledge with the global games industry. It’s a chance to ensure that our attendees have access to as much content as we’re able technically to provide, whether they join in person or from their desk anywhere around the world.”

This year’s program features a wide range of high-quality talks, panels, fireside chats and workshops, delivered by dozens of industry experts across (currently) six live stages. The stellar line-up includes Andrew Maximov of Promethean AI, Fernando Reyes Medina of 343 Industries, Dana Nightingale and Meghan Sébastien Hannier of Arkane Lyon, Rich Lambert and CJ Grebb of Zenimax Online Studios, Marta Fijak of Anshar Studios, composers Jesper Kyd, Olivier Derivière, Inon Zur, and Richard Jacques, as well as Anne Gibeault and Sebastien Lambottin of Phoenix Labs. devcom is also delighted to welcome back to Cologne top games industry and funding advisor Jason Della Rocca and game UX consultant Celia Hodent, as well as many more leading specialists from across the game developer industry. The current list of speakers is already available on the devcom website and will be updated regularly.

All the sessions held during the 2-day conference will be streamed, making at least 35 hours of daily content available to all attendees, even after the event has ended.

For attendees focused on business development, the devcom matchmaking system and event platform Swapcard will open on August 8, two weeks prior to the conference start, and stay open until September 11, two weeks after the conference has ended. Attendees unable to travel to Cologne can still check out all attending partners or be a part of the Business Expo, as in the past two years.

The devcom ticket shop is now open online, with a flash sale discount on all ticket categories running until May 8, 2022. Press accreditation is also available. For Ukrainian developers, devcom is offering free Business Passes that can be accessed directly from the devcom website.
