Munich, Germany, July 14th, 2022 – The winners of the Champion Jam organized by Game Jolt, Games/Bavaria, Beamable and sponsored by AWS for Games have been announced. From June 24th to July 1st, a total of 26 game prototypes were created during the Game Jam.
The choice was not an easy one for the jury, but after much deliberation, three winners were chosen. A total of $6,000 USD in prize money will be awarded to all three. An additional award went to the best game created with Beamable.
These are the winners of the first Champion Jam and the prize money they will receive:
1. Last Frog Standing by Endymion – $3,000 USD
2. The ULTIMATE DUNGEON Champions League by Gushorn – $2,000 USD
3. Carisius by Maxodie – $1,000 USD
Special award for the best game created with Beamable:
- Rune Ark by anime_world – $1,000 USD
In addition to the prize money, the three winners of the Champion Jam get to present their game to an experienced panel of industry experts from well-known publishers. Representatives from Daedalic Entertainment, Koch Media, remote control productions, DECA Games and XSOLLA will provide valuable feedback on the games and the search for a publisher. And who knows – maybe one of the publishers present will make a move right away.
The winning games will be presented on Twitch on July 19th, 2022. Three renowned streamers, Huebi, APECast and Chlooeeeexo, have been secured for this event. Huebi will start at 5 pm, APECast will take over at 6 pm, and Chlooeeeexo will round off the Twitch session at 7 pm. During the streams, the winners will also have the opportunity to present their prototype to the Twitch community and answer questions about their game.
