I am Axel Fox, author, designer and producer of Freud's Bones -The game. Freud's Bones is an anomalous narrative adventure, focused on the concept of ego fragmentation, on the need to find an ally in oneself. The player will be the demon perched on Freud's shoulder, always looking for the roots of his malaise.

    GAMEPLAY
  · Save or condemn neurotic, perverse or hysterical patients!
· Increase Freud's fame by gaining praise from the community!
· Go to Café Eckmann to get money out of the bourgeois bigots and use it to print your texts.
· Solve the riddle of Anubis, the Egyptian artifact that delivers dark judgments about Dr. Freud!

Untangling through therapeutic sessions, epistles, and evenings at the Literary Café to obtain grants from the bourgeoisie. Freud's dreams, anger and dissatisfaction will drive the player to try to take more tobacco, more cocaine, in an attempt to appease his pain... BUT only at the end of the journey will you get the answers!
    The Freudian Office

Cramped and dusty, Freud's office is the daily theater of fluid life, patients sprawling on his famous couch in search of a panacea that will free them from the poisons of the unconscious. Dr. Freud, however, also has family ties: a wife grown weary of her husband's blues, a rebellious daughter, an empathetic sister-in-law.
The patients

· Elsa Kovács: the marble-legged woman. Paralyzed and angry, Elsa is reluctant to take medication as a result of an abnormal accident.
· Johanna Mayer: the woman with the angry stomach. Traumatized and curious, Johanna lives in isolation and copes with her failed suicide attempt.
· Julian Holden: the man with the clenched jaw. Misogynistic and restless, Julian lives subjugated by repressed memories.
· Joseph Bishof: the time traveler. Irrational and haughty, Joseph claims to be called "Cassandra", convinced he can predict the future and travel through time.
The clashes with bigoted society

By calibrating the different Freudian skills, the player will be able to choose how to deal with his interlocutor based on his intuition and rhetorical ability.
The relationship with tobacco and cocaine
  · Afflicted, Freud will look for tobacco to relax.
· By taking cocaine during therapeutic sessions, Dr. Freud will become irritable, irreparably affecting the outcome of the encounter and his bond with his patient!
The value of choices Choices impact the non-linear narrative of the game, determining the ending!
The descent into madness Vienna in the 1920s becomes a unfiltered dreamlike theater!

Famous characters   Carl Gustav Jung: Freud's former student, his nemesis, will peep into Freud's study.
Salvador Dalì: the surrealist painter terrorized by sexuality will guide Freud during a dreamlike night.

Inspired by the famous movie "A Dangerous Method", filled with cinematic easter eggs and homages to David Lynch and Paolo Sorrentino's movies, Freud's Bones breaks away from the linearity of classic graphic adventures, stimulating the player to learn the basics of psychoanalysis in order to know himself and save his protagonist.
