Alienware and Eidos Interactive team up to bring ROGUE TROOPER™ to SCI-FI-LONDON

Alienware and Eidos buddy up to give away PCs and Rogue Trooper stuff at next month's event.

London, England, 13/03/2006. SCI-FI-LONDON is pleased to announce that, Alienware, the leading manufacturer of high-performance notebook, desktop, media centre, and professional system is the "hardware partner" for this year's SCI-FI-LONDON, the UK's only dedicated SF and Fantastic film festival, 26 - 30 April 2006.

Alienware will be giving away a number of their top-of-the-range gaming rigs as prizes. The competition will work in conjunction with Eidos Interactive, one of the world's leading developers and publishers of entertainment software, and feature ROGUE TROOPER, the videogame based on the popular 2000AD character. As part of the pre-awareness campaign for the festival, a 100,000 leaflet campaign will hit London, in retail stores and at all major forthcoming events. The leaflet will detail the competition where people will have the chance to win an Alienware Area 51 - 5500 gaming system, the ultimate in gaming style and gaming power, together with copies of ROGUE TROOPER. To enter the competition, consumers can go directly to the official festival site or send an SMS text message.

About the festival

Over the last 4 years SCI-FI-LONDON has proved to be a hit with its audience bringing exciting, challenging and interesting premieres to the UK along with a programme of rarely screened classics. Our website now attracts over 60,000 unique visitors a month and festival attendance is set to top 10,000.

The festival takes place at the fantastic new APOLLO WEST END cinema in Lower Regent Street, central London. This five-screen state-of-the-art venue is fully licensed and the audience can take their drinks in with them, so expect some champagne screenings!
