uTure was a global talent show to find the next generation of YouTube gaming creators. Brought together and hosted by Ali-A, who is one of the UK’s most popular and influential creators with over 25 million subscribers across his YouTube channels, uTure has featured some of the world’s biggest YouTube creators to act as judges, including LilSimsie, Lachlan, Mythpat and more.
11 contestants were tasked with creating exciting video content over 17 exclusive-to-YouTube episodes, to prove themselves as the next big YouTube gaming content creator. Trying their hand at a variety of challenges in various well known titles, from Rocket League to Fortnite, their content has been judged by the biggest YouTube creators from across the globe, such as DanTDM, LDShadowLady, Infinite and Loserfruit. Those with the lowest scoring from the judging panel were then up for the public vote, with the least voted for candidate being eliminated from the competition that week.
On last week’s episode, the three finalists, BBelle, Mikeeey and Ahrcéus, were challenged to three different tasks: to collaboratively work with the previously eliminated contestants in a game of their own choosing; to edit their previous content to create a YouTube Short of the most exciting and viral moment of their uTure showcase so far; and finally, they were challenged to create a video of their own creative choice, with no rules or restrictions!
With the public’s votes counting for 50% of the final score, both the public and the judges' votes were equally as important in the final. The culmination of both votes judged Mikeeey to be the winner of the uTure show!
US content creator Mikeeey, with his high energy and fast paced videos, impressed the judges with his immense production value. The audience and the judges were impressed by his energy and wit, going as far as to smash his face into a cake during the first ever episode of uTure when he lost the challenge! With incredible performances week after week, Mikeeey took the winning spot by impressing the judges and the audience throughout the competition.
