Social game developer Zynga announced its first game releasing for Google's Android platform, Zynga Poker, an adaptation of its popular Texas Holdem Poker title currently available on Facebook. This won't be Zynga's first release for smartphones, as it's published several of its biggest titles on Apple's iOS platform, including Live Poker (also based on Texas Holdem Poker), Street Racing, Vampires: Bloodlust, Mafia Wars, and its most popular title FarmVille. Justin Cinicolo, general manager of Zynga's mobile division, pointed out at a Facebook event yesterday that Texas Holdem Poker is the first game his company launched on the social network in 2007, according to a report from Forbes' SelectStart blog. He also noted that Texas Holdem Poker is the first title Zynga internationalized, when it published a Chinese language version of the card game in August. On Facebook, it currently has nearly 36.5 million monthly active players and 6.3 million daily users. Cinicolo shared other stats for the game, claiming that Texas Holdem Poker has 375,000 concurrent users at any given moment, and that 90,000 players are going "all in" at any given minute. He did not reveal a planned date for Zynga Poker's Android debut, though.
