Yahoo Inks Distribution Deal With Ubi Soft, Vivendi

Yahoo! has announced deal with Ubi Soft and Vivendi Universal Games to distribute new and classic titles from these publishers on its Yahoo! Games on Demand service.
Through these relationships, top-selling titles from both publishers will be available to consumers for direct rental and broadband streaming play. The service currently has 80 games available online, and consumers pay $4.95 to rent individual games in three-day increments. (Longer rental packages are also available, as are multi-game rental packages.) Games from Ubi Soft that are available on Yahoo immediately include Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six, Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear Black Thorn, and Ghost Recon. Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc will launch by the end of this month. From VU Games, Yahoo will distibute Empire Earth, Arcanum, and SWAT 3. Terms of the deal were not revealed.
