Representatives from MTV-owned game-related chat and community service XFire have announced that the company has formed a strategic partnership with Game Broadcasting Live's eSportsTV to deliver and produce live coverage of XFire’s online events.
Multiplatform portal eSportsTV delivers streaming and on-demand video game content to viewers via the Internet, with live coverage of numerous eSports matches. The service also produces televised shows and programming across several television networks worldwide as well as serving as a news outlet for eSports in general.
As of Friday, September 21st, eSportsTV has begun to provide live streaming video and sports-casting coverage of XFire online gaming events, as well as video-on-demand content exclusively available to the XFire community. Coverage has begun with the Siege of September tournament, which features a demonstration of the forthcoming Enemy Territory: Quake Wars
