Following Friday's news that Hudson's original shooter Omega Five
would be released
this Wednesday on Xbox Live Arcade, Microsoft has said the update will also see the addition of Disney Interactive's port of arcade classic Tron
in May of last year, Tron
was developed by Backbone Charlottetown, the same studio that brought Konami's PlayStation original Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
to the Live Arcade.
Disney Interactive notes that the game will feature co-op multiplayer gaming entirely new to the game, as well as versus play. Though originally slated to have online multiplayer functionality, the latest information from Microsoft implies that the game will be local multiplayer only.
As before, Hudson notes that its sidescrolling shooter Omega Five
, in production by developer Natsume, will deliver "hardcore action never seen before on the platform," along with "visually stunning graphics that pushes the limits for a digital download game."
Both games will be available this Wednesday, January 9 at a price of 800 Microsoft Points ($10) for Omega Five
, and 400 Points ($5) for Tron
