Microsoft officials have unveiled figures which show the Xbox still firmly in second place in Europe. According to the company’s figures (which cannot, of course, be confirmed) the Xbox has sold 3.7 million units in Europe with a total of 100,000 Xbox Live users.
Nintendo is assumed to have sold just under 3 million units, with the PlayStation 2 almost impossibly ahead at 20 million units. The company has admitted that Christmas did not entirely go as plan though, with the GameCube claiming a larger market share during that period.
